Frequently asked questions

What is the PASS method?

PASS stands for Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep. Pull the pin, aim low at the base, squeeze steadily, and sweep side-to-side until the fire is out. Our drills help you execute calmly, especially with gloves or low visibility.

Which extinguisher class should I use in a kitchen grease fire?

Use a Class K extinguisher designed for cooking oils and fats. Never use water on grease. Our kitchen course shows safe lid placement and shut-off steps.

How do I handle small electrical fires?

Choose a Class C or CO₂ extinguisher for energized equipment, and de-energize power if safe. If the fire grows or visibility worsens, evacuate and call emergency services.

Do you cover lithium-ion battery events?

Yes. We teach recognition, safe distance, thermal runaway cues, and when not to use a portable extinguisher. Many situations require evacuation and professional response.

Will I receive a certificate?

Select courses include a digital certificate after passing a short assessment. Certificates document learning but do not replace employer-required practicals.

Can we train a whole team at once?

Absolutely. We provide playlists and facilitation notes to run sessions for teams, ensuring everyone practices PASS with consistent vocabulary.

How long are the courses?

From focused 40-minute essentials to deep-dive 3-hour workshops. Durations include time for guided breathing and reflection.

Do you offer dark mode?

Yes. Use the theme toggle in the header to switch between light and dark. Your preference is saved on your device.

What is “Fallows”?

Fallows is your personal list of saved courses. Add from the catalog, review on the Fallows page, and remove any time.
